WHAT Are the gifts of the holy spirit?
God pours out His grace on us by giving us the gifts of the Holy Spirit. You can find the gifts of the Holy Spirit in 1 Corinthians 12 & 14 and Romans 12:4-8. We are called to discover gifts of the Holy Spirit in community with others, as we mature in expressing these gifts in love. Jesus gave the Church the gift of APEST and the Holy Spirit. As the church, you are a gift when you function within your APEST and allow the Holy Spirit to express His presence & grace through your life. The purpose of the gifts of the Holy Spirit is to build up the Church (local + global), and are best discovered when you serve alongside other followers of Jesus.

Exhortation/Encouragement - help others apply Biblical truth
Leadership - influencing others toward vision
Teaching - clarifies truth
“We are confident that you are meant for better things, things that come with salvation...our greatest desire is that you will keep on loving others as long as life lasts.”

power GIFTS
These gifts demonstrate the power, presence, and reality of God.
Discernment of Spirits - a sensitivity to truth and it's source
Faith - a trusting response to a challenge from God
Healing - releasing God’s power to heal
Miracles/Works of Power - releasing of God’s power to authenticate
His reality
Interpretation of Tongues - interpreting a message given in tongues
Tongues - speaking a message in an unknown language
Prophecy - provide God’s perspective on a situation
Words of Knowledge - getting revelatory information
Words of Wisdom - applying revelatory information

love GIFTS
These gifts manifest the love of God in practical ways.
Administration - organizational abilities that free up others
Giving - sensitivity to God to channel His resources to others
Helps - the attitude + ability to aid others in practical ways
Mercy - empathetic care for those who are hurting
“He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.”
Ephesians 4:16
